Role 

The Application Support Officer provides level 1 / level 2 and administrative support for existing business systems and data solutions used by the company.  The role works closely with the ICT Business Systems team, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure that existing business systems and data solutions are working as expected. 

Duties include but not limited to 

  • Ownership of the helpdesk for the effective and efficient triage, management and resolution of support tickets.
  • Communicating effectively to internal and external stakeholders about that status of issues.
  • Coordinating third parties for the successful resolution of an issue.
  • Assisting with annual business system rollover processes.
  • Assisting with business system software upgrades.
  • Assisting with testing of new changes.
  • Creating and maintaining documents in the support knowledge base.
  • Provide training to users with the aim of reducing support calls.
  • Administration of master data and running reports as required.

Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role. 

Desirable 

  • Experience in the agriculture industry
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate
  • SQL Experience
  • Experience with applications such as SAP B1, SAP Concur, MEX, Jira Service Desk, Power BI or SharePoint.
