This position is essential to the ongoing international student administration provided by the Administration and Coordination Centre (ACC) to the Australian Defence College (ADC).
The International Support Officer is required to work within a small team responsible for the administration of services to the ADC international staff, students and their families under the Defence Cooperation Program.
The International Support Officer will work under the guidance of an APS6 Administration Officer. Duties for this position will include:
- Staff and student march in and out administration to the ADC.
- Processing payment of invoices, stipend and allowances for all international students.
- Management of housing and furniture for all eligible students and their families.
- Assist with dependent children’s education support through liaison with ACT Education.
- Administration of international officers seconded to the ADC for two years.
- Arranging international travel for foreign staff and students in accordance with Whole of Australian Government procedures.
- Providing ongoing customer service and advice to international staff, students and their families while undertaking study at the ADC.
The Administration and Coordination Centre (ACC):
- Is a small, high performing, and high work tempo team based at Weston Creek supporting the Australian Defence College (ADC).
- Comprising both APS and contracted staff, is responsible for administrative support across a range of course activities including, facilities, travel, purchasing and records management in support of the wider ADC community.
- Is also the primary administrative hub for international students attending ADC long courses and provides the conduit for housing and family support.
- Is a busy team that plays a key role in providing supporting functions to the delivery of ADC educational programs.
