The Business Support Officer works as part of a small Support & Coordination Team within Defence Force Recruiting Headquarters (HQDFR) whom collectively provide support to DFR Executive and the wider workforce within DFR to deliver Defence capability.
Specifically, the Business Support Officer is responsible for organising and managing staff access to digital systems such as objective, email distribution lists and the Defence Force Recruiting Network (DFRN). Providing timely Defence One (formally PMKEYS) reporting and tracking and support APS recruitment within DFR. Conduct simple procurement for HQDFR, managing Defence vehicles and other assets assigned to HQDFR.
The incumbent will require, or be prepared to complete, the training for objective workgroup coordinator, MS Office Suite – including Visio, Defence One reporting and simple procurement.

Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) is a public-private collaboration between Defence and a recruiting company providing recruiting services to the Australian Defence Force in accordance with standards and policies set by the Navy, Army and Air Force.
Recruiting services are delivered using a mix of military, APS and contractor staff operating in a high energy, multi-vendor environment which is responsible for directly delivering capability to the Australian Defence Force.
The Support & Coordination Team are responsible for providing administrative support to the Military Coordination cells in the DFR Recruiting Centres around Australia and the Headquarters based in Canberra. The HQ Team, based at Fairbairn, consists of ADF and APS staff and reports to the Chief of Staff.
