The Role
The Collins Submarine Program (CSMP) vision is to ensure that Australia has an enduring and potent Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Capability. As a member of the Logistics and Assurance Section, you will be providing guidance, planning and conducting materiel and logistics related sustainment tasks.

You will support the Logistics Assurance Manager in providing assurance that the CSMP in Service Support Contractors are complying with all Logistics Policies and Procedures. The primary responsibilities are with managing the CSMP disposal process however; you will be expected to assist with other assurance tasks associated with stocktaking and logistics systems management as and when required.

You will have and understanding of and be able to interpret Defence Logistic Policy and Procedures and provide advice to stakeholders on the required outcomes. You will have knowledge of the Defence Logistics Information System and the Defence Electronic Supply Chain Manual.

About our Team
The Collins Submarine Program within CASG is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability the strategic submarine capability to the nation.

We are seeking candidates with relevant experience and demonstrable knowledge in the materiel logistics discipline, particularly:

• Materiel Logistics Governance, Assurance and Policy
• Leading an integrated team to achieve the required goals
• Be accountable, under limited direction, to perform and achieve complex materiel and logistic tasks, carry out documentary and process reviews, within an integrated workforce and to meet required deadlines
• Be accountable for organising their teams workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility
• Interpreting current legislation, policy and procedures also Defence’s mission and policy and provide advice within their function area to external and internal stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts (both internal and external to defence) to resolve materiel logistics matters
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have a high degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
