The Role
APS Recruitment has several expected vacancies for individuals who can see themselves as Recruitment Professionals. APS Recruitment is reforming and changing the way recruitment is conducted within Defence so the roles vary in nature and will have a focus on:
  • Business Improvement, Strategy & Solutions: With an emphasis being placed on education, integrity, assurance and communication we are seeking individuals within this team to support key projects that will have a significant impact on business areas and the broader department to ensure best practice and compliant recruitment is undertaken within Defence. Team members will have an opportunity to provide support on key reforms and attraction strategies in the APS Recruitment space including but not limited to: governance, integrity and assurance, education development and delivery, communications, business improvement, customer service, recruitment advice and programs.
  • Operations Management: Working closely with colleagues across APS Recruitment and the broader department, these position support the key objectives of performance, productivity, reporting, collaboration, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. These positions provide processing support to customers and stakeholders with recruitment matters. Additionally, some positions may be responsible for providing oversight and support to APS4 Recruitment Officers by assigning and coordinating workloads relating to the completion of recruitment processes including placing job advertisements, supporting customers throughout the recruitment process and completing candidate onboarding. A merit pool will be created to fill future roles that become available.
