As a Configuration Team Leader in Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB), you will be given the unique opportunity to work within a diverse team to deliver Military Explosive Ordnance (EO) that are at the leading edge of Defence Capability.
Your responsibilities will require you to apply your Configuration Management skills and experience across a diverse range of EO projects and systems, supporting Defence Weapons Engineers and Logisticians to assure and assist in ensuring, the safety and reliability of EMB explosive materiel in support of the acquisition and sustainment of Defence capability.

Directorate of Engineering (DENG) is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) within Land Systems Division (LSD) which is part of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are located in Canberra, Penrith, Amberley and Melbourne and are focused on acquiring and sustaining guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.

The right person for this role will be an individual who is committed to and experienced in Configuration Management and is able to demonstrate the adaptability and flexibility required to respond to the needs of their stakeholders.
Experience in engineering processes and systems, you will use your initiative to make informed pragmatic decisions and solve complex problems under broad/limited direction.

The Configuration Team Leader is accountable to lead and achieve effective governance and assurance outcomes within an integrated workforce whilst ensuring compliance with core configuration management principles, relevant legislative requirements, policies and regulatory frameworks.
Attention to detail will be paramount as you align configuration data from many countries, in various formats, for vastly different weapons systems. You will manage and monitor the configuration of the inventory with the assistance of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and Microsoft Office suite.
