Our client is a federal government statutory authority who plays an important role in the governance of Australia’s mitigation policies, undertaking reviews and making recommendations on climate change.
The Opportunity
This opportunity will see you provide payroll and human resource services for the Authority. You will have the opportunity to utilise both your HR and payroll experience by providing generalist HR advice and assisting in the processing of the fortnightly payroll and management of the Aurion Human Resource Management System. You will work within a collaborative team where you can further develop your skills and experience.
The Role
As the HR and Payroll Enabling Officer you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Overseeing and processing fortnightly payroll from start to finish and maintain payroll records accurately and confidentially
Providing high quality administrative and management support services
Providing generalist HR advice and respond to enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
Prepare termination calculations and payments
Administer PAYG and Payroll Taxation reporting and coordinate payments, and Superannuation payments and records with company superannuation provider
Preparation of Payroll EFT files
Provide payroll expertise and advice to support employees and management staff
Create and implement payroll policies and guidelines and prepare payroll reports
Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and development, and associated compliance activities, including preparing employment contracts and maintaining staff files
Coordinate, process, and administer payroll and leave management
Maintain employment and workforce-related documentation
The Ideal Person
To be successful in this role you will have a unique blend of skills and experience in Human Resources and Payroll. You will be highly skilled in verbal, written, and computer communication, with a proven ability to effectively convey thoughts and new ideas to various stakeholders.
You will have the ability to influence key stakeholders to achieve effective strategic outcomes along with strong analytical skills.
Previous experience in using Aurion Human Resource Information System (HRIS) will be considered an advantage.
Salary / Rate
$73k – $78k + 15.4% Super
12 month non-ongoing
Open to S26 Transfer
