  • Ongoing & Non-Ongoing 18 months with the possibility of extension up to 3 years - Full Time
  • $87,002 - $96,186 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
  • Role located in SA - Adelaide

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 500,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian. 

A new role awaits  

National Delivery is responsible for engaging with participants and managing participant plans and supports. State/Territory-based business units manage the operating functions of the NDIS, ensuring accessible, nationally consistent participant experiences. Where you can add value

The APS6 Business Operations Manager is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.

The position is a team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. The role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership within the Work Area. 

  • Providing supervision and leadership, including work allocation, to a team of administration staff to ensure operational needs are met
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to build productive working relationships
  • Reporting and analysis on key operational outcomes, ensuring consistent high quality service delivery
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies  
  • Development and maintenance of work area resources, including maintenance of the internal intranet page

  • Able to work flexibly from various locations, including other NDIS sites and home

  • Able to synthesise and analyse information and use this information to make an informed decision
  • Current valid drivers licence to be able to drive fleet vehicles

While this role is ideally performed from Adelaide, SA remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 18 months may be offered.  Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
