Aps6 Content Designer

The role

We are looking for a talented APS6 content designer with a passion for their craft.

As part of the Content Management Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the redesign of the agency's website, BAU ‘front door’ content and the build of a new content management system. You will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with subject matter experts and the Digital Uplift group.

The agency is in the early stages of transforming their digital offerings and rolling out content governance. With the new CMS and websites in the planning, you will have the opportunity to provide meaningful contributions to many interesting content projects.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience designing user-centred content. Please note these are website content roles, not graphic design, communications or digital marketing roles.

About the team

The Content Management Team sits within the External Communication and Marketing division. They are a team of content designers focused on delivering great outcomes for users. They work in an Agile setting and are passionate about what they do.

Duties

Duties include:

• Designing content for key websites that meets user needs, is structured to reflect how users read online and on mobile devices
• Writing user stories, mapping journeys, pair writing, using analytics, conducting user research
• Engaging with internal stakeholders to build capability, explaining the benefits of user-centred content
• Contributing to content management activities such as content migration and IA design
• Working closely with agency’s subject matter experts, both onshore and offshore.
• Managing content activities and workflows effectively, including adopting and supporting team tools and processes
• Contributing to a positive team culture in an Agile setting
• Using digital workplace tools including Azure DevOps, Miro and MS Teams and Webex

• Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen
• Security clearance – our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability toobtain, and maintain an Entry Level Screening security clearance
