The OpportunityThis is an opportunity for a candidate that loves Australian Sports and has strong secretariat skills or experience coordinating multiple committees/boards. The RoleAs a member of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Office team, you will provide a range of high-level executive and secretariat support services to assist the Board and Executive to address the complexities of their roles and to achieve business objectives, including in the management of the COO Office to ensure day-to-day management requirements are met.
You will be working closely with the COO Office team and Board secretariat to implement the organisational strategic agenda. As part of your responsibilities, you will:
- Draft high quality written reports, project documentation and briefs
- Manage the delivery, reporting and project outcomes of identified COO Office projects through structured planning, project management and relationship management
- Manage the delivery of COO Office Divisional events and related culture activities
- Manage and actively drive the flow and exchange of information between the COO and other members of the Executive, ASC program areas, external stakeholders, other government agencies and the public
- Coordinate reporting for Executive approval, including ministerials; Senate Estimates; Questions on Notice; and Divisional, Executive and Board reporting
- Work with members of the ASC Board, Executive and Corporate Support to ensure the quality provision of service and support to the ASC Board, Executive and Senior Leadership
- Provide responsive administrative support services to the ASC Board and committees as required
- Manage the COO's diary travel arrangements and appointments
- Manage purchase orders, corporate credit card reconciliation, remuneration remittance (e.g. travel, meals, bookings) in line with remuneration tribunal/contract conditions
- Mentor other members of the Executive Support team, as required
You will also:
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and other resources that deliver business outcomes for the ASC
- Actively promote and role model the ASC values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect and Teamwork, and contribute to positive organisational change, effective communication, and continuous improvement at the ASC
- Work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organisation, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to deliver high quality business outcomes

- Tertiary qualifications in administration, office management, business management or another relevant field are highly desirable
- Executive support experience within a dynamic senior executive environment
- Demonstrated experience in, or understanding of, the provision of administrative support services to Committees and Boards
- Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, maintaining and implementing information, records, policy and procedures
- Experience in organising and managing travel, events, meetings and coordinating and undertaking projects
- Experience in Office 365 or a similar digital operating environment
- $55 - $65 p/hour + 10.5% Superannuation
