The Role:
We are working with the SES of the budgets branch to help source APS6 candidates for their Internal and External budgeting team. Roles have become available in the teams through a combination of promotion and natural attrition. They are a large department, with multiple projects/programs and a large monetary value.

The client is keen to bring in people with a data focus. They use TM1 as their main reporting tool. Expertise in manipulating large pools of data and producing meaningful analysis and associated reports would be invaluable to the team.
These APS6 roles are available via 12 months non-ongoing contracts or as s26 permanent transfers. They can offer 2 days WFH and career opportunities within the budget branch, or more broadly in the wider CFO unit.
Your Skills and Experience:
You must be an Australian Citizen, with a minimum baseline security clearance (higher level clearances are preferred but will also be sponsored) and have experience of working within an External Budgets or internal budgets area previously in the Australian Federal Government. You must be able to demonstrate competency with CBMS or TM1 and the ability to write briefs and reports that might go up to the SES level.
As well as technical accounting skills you are a strong communicator, you liaise comfortably with senior staff and can provide insight, guidance and expertise when needed.
