Partnering with a Federal Government client located in the heart of Canberra, Randstad is seeking an experienced and dynamic APS6 level Recruitment professionals to commence an initial non-ongoing 6 to 12 months contract with possible extension.
Duties and Responsibilities
As the APS6 Recruitment Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the recruitment team which includes:
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and guide a small team including mentoring and coaching
- Prioritise the workload to ensure timeframes and expectations are managed
- Share skills, knowledge and experience within the team and broader agency to build recruitment acumen
- Identify where improvements can be made to streamline and enhance processes and materials
- Oversee the recruitment system management including updates and enhancements
- Contribute and develop recruitment and onboarding reporting
- Assist in designing and advertising of recruitment processes
- Providing accurate, timely and complex advice to internal staff, candidates and stakeholders
- Ensuring onboarding requests are accurate and completed in a timely manner
- Research, problem solve and provide solutions to overcome challenges
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Ability to work with limited supervision, display high levels of professionalism, discretion, integrity and confidentiality
- Have experience in developing recruitment strategies and approaches
- Have experience in recruitment systems (e-Recruit or similar) and processing
- Provide HR advice and assistance to stakeholders (phone, email or face to face)
- Ability to research, interpret and apply HR legislation and policies
- Ability to work with limited supervision, display high levels of professionalism, discretion, integrity and confidentiality
- Be resilient and compassionate when dealing with sensitive or challenging situations
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- a current security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain clearance at the Baseline (Protected) level is required.
