The Role

Located in our Epping facility in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Aquarium Industries is looking to fill the role of an Aquarium Fish Keeper. Under the direction of our Warehouse Manager the successful applicant will join a small team and be responsible for the care and maintenance of a section of Aquarium Fish. While some work is required on public holidays and weekends, the normal work week is completed from Monday to Thursday and daily tasks will include fish feeding, tank preparation, maintenance and cleaning, as well as moving fish and identifying and rectifying health and quality concerns. There may also be a requirement to catch customer orders.

The Person

We are seeking a team member who is honest, trustworthy, approachable, accountable & flexible. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills and have an ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet operational deadlines. You must have the capability to balance working unsupervised and within a team environment and be quality focused in regards to products, processes, outputs and customer satisfaction. Knowledge of and interest in ornamental fish, including freshwater and/or marine species is preferred, with experience in a retail aquarium or wholesale aquarium facility highly desired and you must always being considerate of the company values of quality, care and simplicity.
