We are in the market for an experienced and qualified Aquatic Operations Officer, you are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. At CoM we strive to embrace change as our norm and therefore require a person who is innovative, agile, proactive and enthusiastic.

As an Aquatic Operations Officer you will work as part of a passionate team at the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre, one of the premier sporting facilities in Western Australia supporting programs and services for the local community.

In your role you will be primarily responsible to the successful operations of the Aquatic component of the Centre on a day to day basis.

What impact will you make?

  • The efficient and effective aquatic operations of the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre;
  • Effective customer-focused service ensuring customer needs and requirements are paramount when making decisions and taking appropriate action:
  • To facilitate effective teamwork to enhance the quality of service;
  • Ensure Aquatic Operations Staff are efficiently organised to ensure a high standard of service is delivered to all customers;
  • Ensure that the Aquatic Operations are conducted in a safe environment;
  • Ensure Occupational Safety and Health requirements are managed, observed and adhered to
  • Ability to “think outside the box” and be flexible in the delivery of services to meet our community’s evolving expectations.

What can you bring to the team?

  • WA Pool Operations Competency Certificate or equivalent
  • Leisure Institute of WA Aquatics Accreditation and Current Membership
  • Diploma in Business Management (or equivalent) or working towards
  • Minimum of three years previous experience in a similar position
  • Current Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard Award
  • Provide First Aid Certificate
  • National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
  • Current Working with Children Clearance
  • Knowledge of all legislation and regulations for the operation of an Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Western Australia
  • Previous experience in the supervision and development of staff
  • Previous experience of Recreation Industry particularly with current trends, programs and initiatives relevant to operating Aquatic Recreation Centre

This is a Level 4 position attracts an attract a salary of $70,268 (pro rata $35.56 per hour) gross per annum.
