Job description

About the role:

The Armoury Logistics Team are responsible for the logistical tracking and distribution of accountable equipment servicing both regional and metro members throughout Victoria. As the successful applicant you will be responsible for the administration of logistics associated with the maintenance scheduling of Victoria Police accountable equipment and will report to the Armoury Team Leader.

Your duties will include:
  • Maintain asset management systems for various equipment used by Victoria Police, including the accurate recording of asset movements to Regions and/or Departments.
  • Undertake the administration associated with maintenance scheduling of Victoria Police accountable equipment.
  • Participate in the periodical and / or adhoc stocktake of Victoria Police accountable equipment including liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake accountabilities associated with the manual handling and movement of accountable equipment in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Firearms Act, and the Control of Weapons Act.
  • Work successfully and effectively, either independently or within a team environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of logistics plans.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
  • Knowledge or experience of recording maintenance activity and asset movement in an asset management system.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and remedy service gaps through the application of sound logistical solutions.
  • Proven ability to interact and establish working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and team members.
Requirements and relevant information:
  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located in NorthWest Metro Region.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception.
