The role:
As an Artillery Operator, you will be critical to helping your team provide vital artillery support to succeed in combat operations. You’ll be responsible for setting up, reloading, aiming and firing artillery weaponry, utilising digital firing data to engage targets up to 30 kilometres away with a variety of ammunition types.

You’ll join an experienced and tight-knit team of up to 15 people, working together in a fast-paced and exciting environment and your training will transform you into a highly capable Artillery Operator and prepare you in all aspects of the job, including general soldiering duties.

You'll need to be determined, adaptable and disciplined, but the Army will train you from scratch, developing your teamwork, leadership and communication skills as you go.

Location: 
Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. The majority of these positions are located in QLD, NSW and the NT. It’s not possible to guarantee a specific posting location for the duration of your service, therefore you must be willing to relocate.

Salary: 
In the Army you'll get paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $51,277 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $69,660 per annum plus generous super.
