About the role:The focus of this role is to assist the Coordinator Arts & Place, alongside the Arts & Place Team, in undertaking projects with the effective delivery of initiatives that will help create and sustain a culturally rich and vibrant community. This role will assist the Arts Team in the review of the City’s Public Art Masterplan in addition to assisting with the coordination, development implementation and evaluation of Arts & Place projects and place activation initiatives.Duties include, but not limited to:Assist with the preparation and acquittal processes of submissions and grant applications to various funding bodies.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and arts related community groups to facilitate and support Arts & culture initiatives within the City.Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of relevant arts and culture activities including community events, place activations and place making programs, arts education programs and in particular the City’s annual Art Awards and Exhibition, maintaining a comprehensive database of performers, artists and cultural organisations as required.About you:We are looking for an individual that has or is working towards a relevant qualification in arts management or arts administration, social planning, urban or community development.This is a diverse role that will utilise your skill set and experience to have a significant impact on the City’s Arts and Place Management with the community.
