We are looking for Sales Director based in AUSTRALIA to run Asia Pacific operations for an Earth Observation Satellite and Data company.

We design, manufacture, and operate our own fleet of satellites, which deliver high-frequency, high-resolution imagery plus full-motion video.
Our mission is to democratize access to earth observation imagery and data, making it affordable and available for those who need it across a wide range of industries, from climate monitoring and agriculture, to energy, infrastructure and many more.
About the Position
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities in the assigned territory and other territories as required as well as communicating and coordinating business opportunities with key stakeholders.
You will use your extensive background in sales to define sales capture strategies for the assigned territory in order to achieve bookings and revenue targets. There is a special emphasis on sales strategy in this position.
Responsibilities
Simultaneously manage pursuit and capture of new program or product sales through extensive interfacing with government agencies in order to achieve set quarterly and annual sales goals.
Work with internal division technology leaders and key internal stakeholders in the division on sales opportunities, setting sales strategy, tactics, proposals, and negotiations for new product solutions as well as coordinating qualified new business capture with government agencies.
Lead sales capture efforts for advanced programs and new technical solutions for the customer that align to the business growth strategies of the division.
Lead penetration strategies to gain additional sales with all major government agencies by facilitating contacts to achieve sales objectives.
Responsible for market growth and recruiting the necessary talent to cover the territory.
Experience
5+ years of sales experience (Minimum)
Experience creating and executing detailed, action-driven account and business plans in collaboration with extended sales and program management teams
Full-cycle direct business development experience with a concentration in technical and/or government sales
Possess the business skills to drive engagement at the executive level, as well as enough technical depth to easily interact with software developers and systems architects.
Pipedrive, Hubspot, SalesForce, or comparable CRM experience
Acumatica, SAP, or comparable ERP experience
Building executive briefing material (e.g. presentations, white papers, read-aheads)
You must have Full Working Rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
