The Team
The Chief Technology Officer Branch delivers a range of ICT services to the agency including enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and service management. ICT services are delivered through a select sourcing model, with a mixture of in-house and outsourced resources.
The Chief Technology Officer Branch is committed to building the agency’s information technology capability by providing resilient, modern, and secure systems informed by data and insights, and to upskill teams to develop innovative new products and services.
The IT Infrastructure Section is responsible for the management and problem resolution of the agency’s ICT infrastructure, including but not limited to, messaging systems, file storage and management, database administration, certificate management and webhosting arrangements.
The Opportunity
The Asset Officer supports the Asset Manager in the day-to-day management of matters relating to the management of IT equipment and services within the IT Infrastructure Section of the Chief Technology Officer Branch, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and contributing to strategic planning for longer term initiatives.
The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex and/or sensitive in nature, under limited direction, utilising knowledge in the area of logistics and asset management.
You will assist with logistics services across the AEC, provide technical advice to stakeholders, and assist with the installation, testing and troubleshooting of desktop systems, applications, networks, and servers.
To excel you’ll have:
- Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
- Proven analytical abilities with the ability to propose and facilitate change to contribute to business improvement.
- Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
- Knowledge and experience in IT logistics management and knowledge of logistics systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth frameworks, including procurement frameworks
Desirable
- A relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate III or IV, or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
- Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) within the Service Now (SNOW) platform.
- A current Drivers License.
