About the role:
An exciting opportunity has now become available for a recent graduate or someone currently undertaking an accounting degree (or similar). With exposure to both Operational accounting and Financial accounting this role is great for someone who is looking to kickstart their finance career! The role is best suited to someone who is hard-working, has a positive outlook in all things and is ambitious in their career journey.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Accountant your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)
- Balance sheet and General Ledger reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Analysis of Sales branch & corporate account numbers to ensure accuracy and correctness for sales, cost of sales and overhead accounts.
- Active involvement in budget process for Service and Sales branches.
- Assistance in all inter-company payables and receivables dealings for Crown Australia.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly BAS & ensure GST is accurately recorded in the business in accordance with Accounting Standards.
- Assist with external audit.
- Other ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & Word).
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail team player with a “can do” attitude.
- Highly motivated and capable of keeping up in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to show initiative (curiosity) within a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting or similar
- Candidates still undertaking their degrees are encouraged to apply as well.
