This is a fantastic* Brisbane based opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant* to join our finance team. The role will be responsible for assisting in providing timely and accurate reporting of Shell Energy’s financial performance and financial position and to assist with other group financial reporting tasks and projects as required.
- Assist with production of monthly reports and other financial information as required;
- Month end recurring tasks including bank reconciliations, fixed asset register maintenance and standing journals;
- Assist with various audit queries as required;
- Assist with preparation and lodgement of various regulatory reports; and
- Assist the accounting team more broadly with project work and administration tasks.
About you:
This role is ideal for someone who has recently graduated or studying towards a financial qualification with the following:
- Financial systems experience including Excel skills;
- Ability to work independently and results focus;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proactive at making continuous improvements;
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
- Exceptional Attention to detail;
- Experience with SAP preferred but not essential.
