An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Account in the finance team. Based in North Sydney you’ll join a close-knit team who are passionate about providing outstanding service and results to clients and across the business. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry and be nurtured and supported by your team and manager. The role provides exposure across Australia and New Zealand focused predominantly in banking and treasury.
The Role:
Provide accurate and timely balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
Actioning daily bank matching, reconciliations, and cash management
Supporting the Finance Manager in treasury functions
Posting of month-end journals and processes
Preparing regular financial and statistical reports for various internal stakeholders
Supporting auditor requests for half and full-year audits
Support continuous improvement in all bank matching and reconciliation processes
About you:
3+ years’ experience in finance within a large organisation
Hold or be working towards a CA / CPA qualification or similar
Strong technical accounting background
Proficient excel skillset
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and have some stakeholder management experience
Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
A strong team player who can work autonomously when required
Experience with NetSuite advantageous
