We are looking for your exceptional skills as an Assistant Accountant. This brilliant role is very involved and will bring new challenges. Our client is a large Manufacturing/Agricultural business and foster a supportive environment, who live and breathe their core values.
This role requires an immediate start, and is being offered on an interim temporary basis, with the view to go permanent for the right person.
Please note you must be based in Perth to be considered for this role.
The Role
- Processing payments and invoices accurately and within expected time periods
- Assisting with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
- Preparation and processing of month end reporting up to the trial balance
- Reconcile bank statements by comparing transactions to the general ledger
- Processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals
- Overseeing or assisting with the Fixed Assets Register
- Reconciliations including General Ledger and Balance Sheet
- Preparation of FBT, GST and BAS return for the Manager to review before submission

- Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the teama
Your Skills & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
- Brilliant organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Xero will be highly regarded (not essential)
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks.
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.
- At least two years of exceptional accounting experience.
