AddressFirst Five Early Learning Reservoir is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager experienced in both management and leadership within an early childhood setting. This role has distinct responsibilities and tasks, along with partnering with the Centre Manager and Educational Leader to provide a high-quality service offering for children, families, and community.
In a full-time capacity, the Assistant Centre Manager will be both non-contact and working directly with children to ensure ongoing connection with educators, children, and the educational program. Non-contact is three (3) days equivalency and working directly with children two (2) days equivalency. When in ratio in children's rooms, the Assistant Centre Manager plays a critical role in modelling high-quality approaches to education and care, and supporting educators in their work with young children.
As the Assistant Centre Manager, you will demonstrate emerging leadership skills and high-level administration skills. In this role, you will:
- Work in partnership with the Centre Manager and Educational Leader to form an effective Centre Leadership Team overseeing daily service operation.
- Undertake systematic daily, weekly, and monthly administration tasks using the Childcare Management System (Xplor).
- Partner with the Centre Manager to ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, the National Regulations, state-based regulations, and in-house processes and procedures.
- Support families in-centre to provide a welcoming and trusting experience.
- Represent and promote the service positively to all stakeholder groups.
Experience with Xplor is preferred, but not essential. High-level attention to detail, computer literacy, and well developed written and verbal communication skills are required.
