The opportunity

The Finance and Business Performance team is recruiting a Full Time – Permanent Assistant Commercial Analyst. This role is responsible for providing financial and commercial analysis that supports corporate level regulatory, business development, innovation, and other investment opportunities.

Our Assistant Commercial Analysts review and interpret forecast and budget data, forecasting trends and analyse variances to prepare budget forecasts. The role is also responsible for producing reports and assists with the interpretation and presentation of complex financial information and analysis to enable informed decision-making by management and/or other internal customers. Other responsibilities include:
  • Corporate Finance month-end processes
  • Profit and Loss alignment to ensure a consistent narrative and clarity on business direction.
  • Supporting the development of annual forecasts and business planning.
  • Variance driver analysis and actionable insights.
  • Supporting governance and transparency of cost control and funding.
Eligibility Requirements

Ideally you will be an aspiring analyst, who excels in fast moving, collaborative and outcome-focused environments. You take pride in delivering quality on all assigned tasks, tactical through to transactional in nature – governance, business planning, variance analysis and reporting alignment to support strategic communications.

A prior knowledge of financial planning and analysis processes, as well as an understanding of management accounting systems, processes and techniques is important.

Above all, we are seeking people with a passion for finance and analytics, and the confidence to provide insights and recommend solutions when assessing financial outcomes or problems. You will have excellent Oracle FMIS, Jedox or TM1 modelling skills. Does this sound like you?

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available. The Staff Health Team will access your AIR record if needed, please advise if you prefer the team not to view your vaccination record.
