Broad compliance role at a bank
Your new company
This historic, members owned bank has an excellent reputation offering retail banking products and have been recognised across several categories for their range of outstanding products and services .
Your new role
As part of Line 2 Risk and Compliance function, working closely with the Head of Compliance to manage and maintain the Bank’s Compliance Framework and Program.
Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the Compliance Plan to ensure that the Bank’s systems, policies and procedures meet regulatory obligations.
Providing compliance support to Business Units
Ensure Compliance with APRA Prudential Standards and all applicable policies and regulations
Updating policies and procedures
Compliance reporting that goes to the risk committee
Deliver timely and effective reporting on the Compliance Program including breaches and incidents
Monitor and implement changes to the regulatory environment and notify Business Units of relevant changes
Maintain breach register and advise Business Units on breaches reportable to Regulators
Compliance obligations and mapping
Delivering training
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in law or a relevant discipline would be desirable but not essential
5 + years Compliance experience from a bank or financial services company
Solid understanding of risk and compliance principles and frameworks
Ability to work in a small close knit team and take on responsibility
Excellent stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills
