AddressBeerwah Golf Club (est. 1970) on the Sunshine Coast offers an 18 hole parkland style golf course and practice facilities, with clubhouse offering bistro, bar, gaming and functions.
The Club is seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Superintendent (2IC).
The Club is in an exciting position with clear direction to develop in line with the Club’s Strategic Plan with an ever-increasing population in the local area.
Reporting directly to the Course Superintendent, the successful applicant will possess and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of golf course maintenance with exceptional leadership and communication.
The successful applicant will be responsible for organising the team on a daily basis and be able to excel in the absence of the Course Superintendent.
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:
- Certificate 3 in Sports Turf Management
- Recognised AQF3 Chemical Certification
- Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and a progressive mindset
- Strong work ethic
- Understanding of all important aspects of course management relating to irrigation, its installation, repairs, programming and troubleshooting
- Experience and sound understanding of all turf equipment
- Understanding and input with course budgets to assist the Course Superintendent
- Ability to work under pressure in preparation of events and under adverse weather conditions which can be a common occurrence
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety protocol and implementation of policy
A remuneration package will be negotiated dependant on the candidates credentials and experience.
