About us
Avenues Early Learning Centre- Murarrie is part of a family owned and operated company with 16 centres across Brisbane. Our centre is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from Cannon Hill Plaza and Bus exchange and 10 minute walk from Murarrie train station. We are situated in a quiet street and boast spacious play areas including outdoor areas with lots of natural trees, dirt pits and local birdlife that visit us daily.
Avenues Murarrie care for up to 113 children each day with 8 play rooms across the service catering for Nursery to Kindergarten age groups. We value positive relationships and making the most of each day, enjoying time with our children to explore, investigate and discover.

The opportunity
We are seeking an inspiring Early Childhood Educator that fits into the unique culture of our wonderful team. We believe in a play based, emergent curriculum that focuses on a holistic approach to teaching. Must be available 5 days a week between 6am and 6pm to start immediately with regular fixed days.
We have a permanent part-time role available. The ideal candidate would have 5 day availibilty Monday- Friday, but also invite applicaitons for those with full availibilty Monday-Wednesday.

Skills & requirements
- Minimum of Cert III Early Childhood Education
- A current and valid Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
- Hold a current senior First Aid, CPR & Asthma and Anaphylaxis training certificates
- Have a good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Have a moderate to high level of computer skills in order to use our online programming software
- Proficient in oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to build rapport with families, colleagues, stakeholders and members of the community)
- Must be fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccination
