The Role and Duties:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic finance professional to join our team as Assistant Financial Accountant. As Assistant Financial Accountant you will be assisting the business in managing the day-to-day aspects of the finance function. You will play a vital role in the month end processes and reporting and provide accounting support to the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer.
As Assistant Financial Accountant, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Departmental Revenue variance analysis.
- Monthly business KPI’S and trend analysis.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- Budgeting and reforecasting.
- Accounting policy formations.
- Debt collection and management of debtor’s days.
- Financial Statement Preparation.
- Assisting with Tax Computation.
- Liaising with Tax Agents.
- Assisting Singapore group finance with ad hoc queries.
- Boardroom bank reconciliations and credit card management.
- Entering approved vendor invoices into Navision for payment.
- Preparing regular payment runs (fortnightly) and uploading payments to St George for approval.
Essential Criteria:
Ideally you will have:
- Qualifications in accountancy and/or finance
- Understanding and experience of financial reporting and management accounting
- Strong varied experience with accounting software
- Strong knowledge of excel
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of the broader team
- Appropriate handling of sensitive information
- Team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple parties
Location:
This role will be based in Sydney.
Salary Package
$68,891.00 plus 10.5% Superannuation (total package $76,124.55).
