A recent departure in the Financial Control team has provided an excellent opportunity to reshuffle some resources and welcome a new member into the leadership ranks, as Assistant Financial Controller.
Role Overview
Reporting to the head of Financial Control, you will effectively be the 2IC in the financial accounting and reporting team, responsible for coordinating and overseeing the output of a small team of Accountants. Your board remit will include:
Oversee month end close process and review team reconciliations;
Take a hands-on role on more complex balance sheet reconciliations;
Drive consolidations for group statutory reporting;
Drive half-year and full-year reporting, taking a hands-on role in the preparation of the annual report and any board reporting packs; and
Act as a key point of contract throughout the audit process.
Your Background
CA/CPA qualified;
Small preference for someone with an earlier audit background in Big4;
Strong experience in leading a financial accounting function;
You will be technically savvy, but commercially minded;
You will possess strong attention to detail and be confident in your reconciliation skills;
Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision; and
You will have strong stakeholder management skills and hold you own dealing with the partners/ownership group when reviewing financial information.
