Description
An opportunity has been presented for an experienced or new graduate Assistant in Nursing/Personal Care Attendant to join the team at our clients site in Port Stephens, NSW.
Reporting to the Registered or Enrolled Nurse you will be responsible for providing residents with high-quality, person-centred care, recognising their needs, and cooperating with a team of healthcare professionals within a residential aged care setting. This role will see the successful candidates providing quality support to residents with their activities of daily living as well as collaborating with the boarder nursing and allied health teams.
Furthermore, you will choose to take on this opportunity on a part basis. Applications will be accepted from candidates based in and around Port Stephens, with applicants nationwide also invited to apply, with relocation assistance to support your move being considered on an individual basis.
Profile
To be considered for this role, you will:
Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or similar Certificate 3 qualification) or are currently studying a nursing degree and have completed an Aged Care clinical placement. Our client is also able to recognise International Nursing Qualifications, which can be reviewed on application
If you are currently studying or looking to do a Certificate III in Individual Support or hold a Certificate II in Health Services, we invite you to apply and welcome the opportunity to speak with you
Previous experience in a personal care role in Aged Care (desirable but not essential)
Demonstrate good customer service and documentation skills
Hold a completed NDIS screening check
Evidence of 2023 flu vaccination (when accessible) and COVID-19 vaccinations (minimum three doses)
