The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Event Space, Executive Lounge, IRD`s and 17 meeting spaces. Located at the Brisbane Airport precinct, it is the first accommodation, meeting, and event space to be developed in this precinct.
Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is currently seeking an Assistant Reservations Manager reporting directly to the Reservations Manager, responsible for all accommodation bookings across the hotels. You will work closely with our Sales & Marketing and Front Office teams, implementing strategic plans and processes.
Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Oversee accuracy of room blocks, reservations, and group market codes.
- Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email.
- Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type, verify availability of room type and applicable rate.
- Ability to respond to any challenges in accommodating rooming requests, ensuring proper billing of accounts in line with accounting policies.
- Ability to assist reservation agents in troubleshooting, resolving issues and documenting guest concerns or escalate/refer to appropriate individual.
- Capable of explaining accommodation guarantees, special rate conditions and cancellation policies.
- Accommodate and document special requests.
- Answer questions about property facilities/services and room features.
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Mentor and coach the reservations team to ensure smooth operational efficiencies.
- Reservations background.
- Extensive knowledge of Opera PMS and Microsoft Excel essential
- Experience in handling a high volume of reservations with superb accuracy
- Proven success in customer experience
- Experience in managing business relationships with travel agents, corporate and leisure clients
- Extremely professional telephone & email etiquette
