About the role
Commercial Team
The Commercial Team delivers commercial activity to support the Museum's vision and strategic ambitions. The team provides leadership to drive revenues across commercial activities in collaboration with key stakeholders and partners.
The Assistant Retail Manager is an exciting commercially focused operational and business administration role that supports the Retail Manager and is an integral part of the Commercial Team. This position is responsible for supporting the Retail Manager with a focus on the day-to-day operations of the retail business that includes the shop at the Museum, the online shop and other customers. The Assistant Retail Manager supports the Retail Manager by taking carriage of many and varied administrative and operational duties and business development initiatives and ensures the seamless operation of the retail business in their absence.

We are seeking a motivated, proactive and experienced retail business professional who is detail-oriented, analytical and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment which is growing fast. You’ll work closely with the Retail Manager, be a team player and be ready to roll up your sleeves to rise to the challenge and opportunity this role provides.
To succeed in this role, you will be motivated by detail.
Knowledge & Experience
Demonstrated experience in business support, administration, and stakeholder management, with demonstrated skills and knowledge across the range of business requirements, sales, stock control, forecasting and reporting.
Demonstrated commercial and analytical skills, the ability to structure and organise work effectively.
Availability across all retail hours, including weekdays, weekends, and occasional late nights.
