Job description:
We are looking for an Assistant State Promotions Manager to join the Merchandise team on an 8-month contract. The role is responsible for supporting the implementation of national promotions & facilitating the growth of state based promotional programs.
This role partners with Retailers, State, Channel & National Teams to drive promotional growth for the state. You champion the independent retailer to grow sales, supporting the Food Group strategies
What you'll do
• Proactively identify opportunities & drive state execution of strategies and projects
• Work with the State Promotions Manager to deliver improved promotional performance including: - Analyze, Plan & Report, Retail and Wholesale promotional sales performance and GP$. - Performance of various promotional mechanics; State based activities & catalogue - Channel Promotional support
• Lead State Retailer Committee Meetings, prepare Promotional results presentations & partner with Retailers on Promotional opportunities
• Perform promotional tasks including catalogue checks, pricing, stock availability, allocations and queries
• Is required to perform duties of the State Promotions Manager in times of absence
• Collaborate with the National Promotions & Trading Teams.
What you'll bring
• 3- 5 years' experience in a similar sales/ marketing or promotions role
• Strong communication skills, confident presenting in large meetings & forums
• Able to build partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• A collaborative leadership style that supports teams and colleagues.
• The drive to seek continuous improvement and identify new opportunities
• Results focus that seeks the best outcomes for all stakeholders
• Understanding of the Independent Retailer network and shoppers.
• An understanding of the processes involved in managing promotions and pricing in catalogue & print production. Able to manage time in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy & attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Cloud based applications, SharePoint)
