About The Role
The purpose of this position is to help the business and your Store Manager to manage the staff to meet business targets.
The ASM will be required to support his/her Store Manager in directing and delegating daily operational tasks as part of their retail management duties and job obligations.
You will also be required to oversee all staff performance and encourage, store leaders such as Floor Managers, Team Leaders and all Style Consultants in working towards their KPIs. The ASM must also be able to allocate their resources to ensure running of all retail operations in order to meet their respective stores’ KPIs.
This is a supportive managerial role that requires experience in management with strong communication and organisational skills where you are required to provide guidance to store leaders and style consultants regularly to improve performance. The ASM must also be able to demonstrate fairness in judgement when communicating with their staff in relation to KPIs. A high level of commercial awareness and knowledge of latest luxury fashion trends is expected while training and developing new staff members.
You will also be required:
Oversee daily operations – opening and closing of stores
Cash handling
Maintain store’s front and back of house tidiness and cleanliness throughout the day
Daily briefing and de-briefing of sales targets
Enforce theft prevention strategies
Assist in the general management of all staff allocation in accordance to operational requirements
Managing inter-store transfers
Ensure maintenance of all store fittings
Enforce company policy and regulations
Orientating and coaching new staff members
Recognising and appraising job results
Recommending corrective actions to maintain employee conduct
Coach and develop store leaders and style consultants
Monitor all staff members’ KPIs
Ensure security of merchandise by following all security systems protocol
Mediate conflict among staff and reporting of conflict to Head Office immediately
Contributes to team effort
