ANZ’s Institutional Finance team plays a critical role in helping ANZ Institutional achieve its strategy to be the best bank on the world for moving trade and capital flows across the region. The team is structured to support Institutional across sector, product and geography.
The Australia + PNG region is a ~$2.7bn p.a. revenue business consisting of ~2000 FTE. The region is critical to ANZ Institutional’ s strategy to be the best bank in the world for customers that move goods and capital across the region. The business seeks to balance the opportunities provided by uncertain economic conditions with the need to optimise capital efficiency and returns, while continuing to simplify the operating model, resolve legacy issues and manage regulatory change.
As an Associate Business Partner, Australia + PNG region, you will support the Lead Business Partner and Specialist Business Partner by providing high quality financial analysis and management reporting information to drive performance at levels considered material to the Group CEO & CFO.
What will your day look like
As a Associate Business Partner, Australia & PNG Region, your focus will be on data extraction and manipulation, generating insights and value-add reporting, problem solving, and driving change through automation to provide support to the both the overall geography and segments within the Australia + PNG region. Your value lies in your understanding of the business; advanced data and analytical skills, management reporting capability, ability to problem solve complex issues, demonstration thought leadership and continuous improvement mind-set; and your ability to use data to generate insights.
You will often collaborate with other teams across the Finance and business community, including FP&A, Financial Systems, Cost CoE and SDT teams to deliver outcomes, augment your capability with targeted knowledge and specialist analytics.

What will you bring?

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven experience in financial analysis with an ability to efficiently source and manipulate data, perform meaningful financial analysis to generate insights and provide value-add information to drive business performance.
• Proficiency in various financial tools particularly MS Excel and Qlik including experience in automation and driving continuous improvement across activities to reduce non-value add work effort.
• Ability to problem solve, demonstrate thought leadership and provide accurate, reliable and timely performance financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate insights.
• Professional services background would be an advantage.
