About the role
Reporting to the Director, Delivery - COE the position of Associate Director, Change Management is a key member of the Optus EPMO Leadership team.
Acting as a strong advocate of organisational people strategies, you will lead and support a team of Change Managers and work closely with internal customers to understand business challenges in order to successfully deliver change strategies to support programs. You will be responsible for setting and supervising individual/team objectives as well as ensuring that personal development plans incorporating professional efficiency are established and supervised for all team members.
You will use your expertise and experience in delivering and driving strategic change management programs within the EPMO. You will provide guidance and support in developing newsworthy content through Optus communication channels and awareness across EPMO teams as well as leading the coordination of events that showcase the EPMO and its people.
Using your expertise and understanding of the broader business operational context, capex/open financial management, project/change management and business/process analysis subject areas and methodologies for initiative execution you will help to define and deliver effective workforce onboarding, development and retention strategies.

About you
- Tertiary/Degree qualification in Business, HR, Change Management, Program Management
- Prosci® accreditation
- Formal Project Management certification
- 10+ years' experience across Change Management in a large organisational setting or consultancy.
- Demonstrated experience in working within PMO's leading teams and/or working in projects including Business Analysts and Project Management teams.
- Demonstrated experience in developing functional capabilities across PMO fields.
- Demonstrated experience in building and prioritising a pipeline of strategic programs ensuring alignment strategic capability focus areas and company strategy
- 5+ years' experience in managing teams related to technical, people or process change
- Work career highlights from a complex, fast-paced, matrix environment
- Experience in developing practice standards and mentoring programs
- Understanding of both technical project framing and execution, plus go-to-market and people change management necessities
- Experience of business transformation
- 2Understanding of PMO activities and functions
- Superior stakeholder management skills
- Highly developed communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to forge collaborative relationships, negotiate and influence outcomes
