Sitting within CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets business, the Future Cities team proactively develops client relationships and provides a full range of capital and financing solutions to large ASX listed companies, together with private equity and infrastructure fund owned portfolio companies.
The team is responsible for originating new business opportunities, proactively advising, structuring and executing product solutions tailored to the needs of our client group cross the Healthcare, Property, Infrastructure and Utilities sectors, as well as increasing the penetration of transactional banking and working capital services.
Do work that matters:
As an Associate Director, you’ll work on a wide range of transactions primarily focusing on the Healthcare & Property sectors and play a key role in delivering overall relationship management for your client’s that will enable you to respond to their needs as well as identify and execute new business opportunities, making a positive impact for our client and the Bank.
Further responsibilities will include:
Relationship management of a portfolio of clients to deliver capital, transactional and risk management solutions.
Providing expertise and unique insights into market and industry conditions in order to identify and originate viable transaction, structuring and business opportunities.
Cultivating and owning relationships with client Treasury and C-Suite executives
Leading and supporting a deal or project team in transaction execution
Coordinating with internal business partners within the bank to develop and execute client engagement strategy, including the preparation of external client presentations
Identify and actively manage the full spectrum of risks associated with the origination and on-going management of clients.
Providing leadership and development to junior bankers.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
A strong academic background with tertiary studies in Business, Engineering or Law.
5+ years proven experience in engaging with clients at a senior level to discuss new concepts, ideas and financing opportunities to meet their funding and organisational needs and priorities.
An extensive background in Institutional banking with an acute understanding of key drivers affecting the various industry sectors.
Demonstrable interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills combined with the ability to build complex structured transactions and deliver exceptional client presentations.
Previous experience in leading teams and developing capability
