About the role

An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated health care professional with passion for quality, safety and continuous improvement, has become available within the QPI Directorate.

As a key member of the Quality, Planning and Innovation (QPI) directorate, the Associate Director QPI is responsible for leadership in developing a culture and capability for Clinical Governance and continuous improvement and in turn achievement of performance targets and organisational objectives within the designated Clinical Directorates and programs.

About you

To be successful in this role you should have;

Experience in establishing organisational readiness for accreditation against the National standards and other relevant industry standards and legislation

Experience in training and coaching staff in the use of quality systems and accreditation standards

Skills and knowledge of clinical risk management including incident and feedback management and mortality and morbidity reviews

Understanding of consumer partnerships and experience in training and coaching staff in partnering with residents and families/ carers

Proven experience in successfully leading and embedding change within and across teams

An understanding of measurement and monitoring for safety and quality and high level skills in analysing and reporting performance indicators and establishing clinical audits.

Demonstrated track record in building capability for continuous improvement and promoting a culture of safety and quality

Superior communication skills, both verbal and written

Proven ability to consult and collaborate with others and work as an effective team member to deliver organisational outcomes

Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels within a complex organisation

  • Knowledge of National safety and quality healthcare standards, demonstrated experience in implementing and sustaining a culture of safety and quality in health care setting and knowledge and understanding of accreditation process
  • Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, health
