Transaction Structuring & Execution is a function within the wider Institutional Portfolio Management that is responsible for coordinating secondary loan sales and credit risk mitigation activity (e.g. credit risk insurance, risk participation, credit default swaps, etc.) across the Corporate Finance balance sheet.
Transaction Structuring & Execution is responsible for ensuring all credit risk mitigation activity is supported by a centralised, efficient and well-managed process that ensures the bank remains in compliance with its contractual obligations owed to external counterparties/investors (e.g. insurers, sub-participants, etc.).
Transaction Structuring & Execution is responsible for engaging with a variety of stakeholders both externally (e.g. banks, funds, insurers) and internally (e.g. relationship, product, business execution, risk, legal, operations).

The Associate, Institutional Portfolio Management role is critical to making this happen and will be responsible to:
Establish relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. insurance underwriters, brokers)
Establish rapport with a range of internal stakeholders across relationship, product, risk, legal, operations, finance, etc.
Manage the administration of the current portfolio of credit risk mitigation actvities (e.g. premium payments, waivers, consents)
Balance the need for efficiency with a low tolerance for operational error
Contribute to the growth of the depth and breadth of credit risk mitigation activity across Corporate Finance
Co-ordinate the approval and reporting of secondary loan sales across the Corporate Finance balance sheet

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Excellent proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g. word, excel)
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment in an accurate and timely manner
An ability to reprioritise work to meet changing demands
Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise with a variety of external investors across funds and insurance
Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
Elementary knowledge of financial mathematics and accounting principles
Minimum 2+ years of experience within banking and financial services
Bachelors degree, preferrably with a focus on finance, economics, accounting and/or law
