The Role
In this permanent role, based in Epworth Freemasons East Melbourne, you will be responsible for supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and assisting in the overall clinical management and team leadership of the 10 bed Special Care Nursery. In additional to the SCN, our Maternity Services department consists of 9 birth suites, 34 bed postnatal unit and a 6 bed hospital in the Park Hyatt Hotel and currently accommodates approximately 3,000 births per annum.

To be successful in this role…
You will either be in an ANUM role or looking to step into an ANUM role. You are a good communicator, flexible in your approach and have natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients and their families. You’re keen to progress your career, learn how to lead a unit and are open to mentoring and accessing internal leadership programs that support your journey.
You will have:
Special Care Nursery or NICU experience
Up to date CPAP High Flow trained , essential
Relevant specialised training
Experience gained caring for babies requiring CPAP or high flow
Current unrestricted AHPRA Nursing registration
