BRHS has an exciting opportunity for two experienced and skilled Registered Nurse's to join our dedicated Rehabilitation nursing team in a leadership role. If you have a background in sub-acute nursing and are looking for a new challenge, this role offers a great opportunity to progress your career in nursing management and enjoy a great work/life balance in beautiful East Gippsland.

The Contracts: Ongoing, Part Time 48.0 hours per fortnight and Fixed term until 03/09/2023, 48.0 hours per fortnight.

The Position:

In this role you will support the Nurse Unit Manager to oversee our high functioning sub-acute team including providing support, leadership and clinical expertise to the nursing team. You will work closely with our medical, allied and ancillary staff on each shift, to ensure the provision of exemplary care and out of business hours, you will act for the Nurse Unit Manager.

What you need:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum 3 years post registration experience
• Extensive clinical experience with advanced skills and knowledge providing comprehensive patient assessments, discharge planning/goal setting and transition of care in the subacute setting
• Well-developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Well-developed decision making skills with the capacity to prioritise accordingly in pressure situations
• Demonstrated expertise in rehabilitation nursing with current FIM credentialing
• Proven commitment to the provision of excellent customer service and patient centered care
• Proven ability to lead nursing staff to ensure best practice rehabilitation nursing and clinical care is delivered
