Our School of Dairy Science and Technology is inviting applications from Associate Professors who have a strong knowledge of Dairy Technology and experience in general food and manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities:
- Enhance and deliver an effective program of teaching, research, and publication in Dairy Science and Technology.
- Undertake an effective programme of teaching, research and publication
- Engage in enterprise activities and pursue external funding opportunities to support research initiatives
- Provide administrative and professional service to the University and broader academic communities
- Offer academic leadership within the School, College, University, and wider discipline
Qualifications and experience:
- A nationally recognised leader in research and publication in Dairy Technology
- A substantial track record in developing and delivering dairy science and technology discoveries across academia, research organisations, and industry
- Deep understanding of trends, challenges, and opportunities in Dairy science and technology within both the New Zealand and international contexts
- Proven experience working with industry to provide solutions to industry needs
- Relevant PhD (or equivalent) or another post-graduate qualification
- Demonstrated teaching and research experience in a university or tertiary teaching environment
- Experienced in the use of electronic and online technologies in blended and distance teaching delivery
- It would also be an advantage to have experience and capability to adapt and contribute to other aspects of food manufacture, and product development
Additional information:
While the position is based at the Manawatū campus, there will be opportunities for offshore teaching at Jiangnan University, Wuxi, China, and the Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore.
The Salary Range for this role is at an Associate Professor Grade (for 2024), ranging from $134,424 to $157,025 (NZD). Salary will be negotiable by background/experience
