Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) is a business unit within SA Health and is central to SA Health's ability to deliver high quality health care services. PSCM is responsible for the processes and services that underpin procurement and supply chain operations across SA Health.

Reporting to the Principal Assurance Officer and based in Adelaide CBD the Assurance Officer will contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a professional and effective procurement assurance review program reflecting the requirements of the SA Government Procurement Framework.
In this role you will:
- Conduct and report on assurance reviews of internal controls and system processes related to procurement across the portfolio, in line with SA Health’s approved assurance review plan and timeframes.
- Draft reports containing advice and recommendations in key areas for improvement and working proactively with business units to implement improvement opportunities.
- Work within PSCM to improve policies, communications and training etc. to address any indications where improvements could be implemented.
- Collate management responses to audit reviews
- Undertake reporting obligations for PSCM relating to legislative compliance, Treasurer’s Instruction breaches etc.
- Support the Governance & Business Services team to achieve business unit objectives
What you will need to succeed:
- The ability to think strategically and innovatively to resolve problems
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, in particular the demonstrated ability to provide sound advice and prepare written reports and briefings.
- Experience in undertaking assurance and/or audit reviews.
- Experience in establishing and managing strong working relationships and communication processes with a range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of contemporary assurance/audit review management principles and methodologies
- Exposure to procurement-related analysis and reporting (desirable)
