We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist – Compliance & Control to join our Australia Risk and Compliance team. This role is located in Sydney - Hybrid

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Provide oversight and compliance guidance to business including requirements on privacy, local outsourcing, licensing etc.
Maintain and develop compliance related policies and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements
Undertake Compliance Risk Assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of controls of business ongoing compliance with key laws, regulations and policies affecting BNY Mellon businesses.
Attend relevant branch committee / advisory groups, present compliance topics and act as the Secretary to keep proper minutes
Participate in or lead the delivery of Compliance related training.
In addition, this role will provide support/ back up coverage to other staff members within the team, spanning different aspects of the Compliance advisory function for the Australia Branch and locally incorporated Corporate Trust subsidiaries.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Relevant technical knowledge of APRA, AFSL and/or ACL requirements and sound knowledge / understanding of wholesale/custody Banking and corporate trust would be preferable.
Good time management and prioritisation skills
Curiosity to learn and find solutions
Team player and flexible in a fast-paced environment
Good report writing and presentation skills
