Join Macquarie Capital as an Australian Equity Sales Associate within our Macquarie Securities Group!

The Macquarie Securities Group has an exciting opportunity for an Institutional Sales Professional to join the Australian and New Zealand equity desk based in New York covering the North American institutional investor base.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing a diverse base of institutional investors actively investing in the Australian & New Zealand (ANZ) equity markets
  • Distributing the industry leading ANZ single stock, economic and strategic research to that North American client base
  • Researching original ideas and tailoring investment opportunities to individual clients' investment process
  • Demonstrating an ability to originate and build professional partnerships
  • Participating in corporate road shows and corporate marketing events with clients
  • Building and strengthening corporate relationships with ANZ listed companies

To be considered for this role you must have two years’ experience in equity markets in a front office capacity, with previous exposure to and an understanding of the Australian stock universe (ASX200) a positive. It is key that you are an entrepreneurial, self-motivated individual capable of working autonomously.

As an Australian Equity Sales Associate, you will also have:

  • A high level of commercial acumen, coupled with a willingness to take responsibility
  • An aptitude for travel and attention to detail in managing trips for corporate relationships
  • The ability to work as part of a team in an environment and a shared sense of responsibility and success

Favorable skills that are preferred, but not required, include:

  • Institutional equity sales experience in the Australian market or on an offshore equities desk focusing on the Australian market
  • Existing US institutional relationships and experience managing corporate relationships
  • Series 7 and 63 qualifications

Salary Range

Salary range for this position: $120,000 - $190,000/Yr.  Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
