Salary Range: $55,000 - $63,000

We have an excellent opportunity for an Automotive Technician to join our high performing team. You will be at the forefront of the automotive industry, promoting Australia's # 1 brand and working alongside strong leaders and a supportive team.

About you
We are looking for a highly skilled Automotive Pro Technician, preferably with Toyota Experience but this is not essential.

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

  • Ability to determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, or systems making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems prior to finalising the job
  • performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of technicians hand tools to meet the service and repair requirements
  • Identify and advise the Workshop Controller of any additional repair items found
  • Transcribe clear accurate account of all work complete onto the repair order
  • Keep work area clean and tidy at all times
  • Provide “on-the-job” training to Technicians and Apprentices
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment. Ensure that any risks to safety are identified, assessed and appropriate measures taken to eliminate and or control any risk to the safety of all people
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
  • Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
  • Have three years of experience/or training with all necessary aspects of vehicle mechanisms and systems such as; Engine, Drive train, Chassis, Electrical, Air Conditioning Repairs, Air Conditioning Insulation, Accessory Fitment, Road Testing Vehicles,
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Solid track record of performance
  • High level of personal commitment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good people skills
