We are looking to hire individuals who will contribute to our team of dedicated personnel by bringing their experience and willingness to learn to every project. We are currently looking for a B Pressure Welder to join our team!
Role & Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) Stainless steel, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Operate previously set up welding machines such as butt and resistance or gas and arc welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts
- Operate overhead crane
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding equipment
- Mentor and train apprentices
- Must follow all company policies and procedures including Trotter & Morton’s Health and Safety program
- Understand and follow company Quality Control Program
- Performs other duties as required
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Results oriented and a team player
- SAW ticket is considered an asset
- Overhead crane experience is created an asset
- Experience with SMAW/FCAW/MCAW/GMAW/GTAW welding is essential, other welding experience is an asset
- Must possess a valid Alberta Journeymen/women Certificate with Interprovincial Red Seal in Welding is preferred B-pressure Certification
- Must have Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Pressure Piping / Vessels Stainless Steel welding and fabrication environment
