About the role
We are currently seeking B1 LAME's (Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) or B2 LAME's to join our team based in Cairns, Brisbane, Townsville or Rockhampton.
Reporting to the Responsible Manager - Part 145, you will be responsible for providing high level aircraft maintenance to our fleet of Dash 8 aircraft in accordance with Company policy and CASA regulations.
The nature of this role is shift work including weekends, public holidays, days, and nights.

You will be responsible for:
Whilst working with our qualified Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, this role will typically see you:
Ensuring maintenance of the Skytrans aircraft is completed and certified in accordance with regulatory, manufacturers and Company Maintenance Control Manual requirements
Ensuring the ongoing serviceability and presentation of company aircraft on a daily basis, carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
Checking aircraft logbooks are clear of grounding defects and check due list for upcoming maintenance
Researching requirements for upcoming maintenance to ensure availability of parts
Testing equipment and tooling
Rectifications of defects away from base
Contributing to the safety and quality managements system
Undertaking corrective rectification of aircraft systems
Completing scheduled aircraft maintenance
Completing primary line maintenance activities
Supervision of unlicenced Engineers
Minimum 5 years' experience - either licenced or unlicenced
Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their application:
Completion of the theory component of Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
Thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures
Current Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate or the ability to obtain
Full Manual QLD Driver's Licence
Ability to work effectively as part of a professionally diverse team, but also have the ability to work unsupervised
High level of attention to detail
Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to successfully obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
Ability to pass random and routine drug and alcohol screening for employment purposes
You must be eligible to live and work in Australia as either a citizen or hold the appropriate visa
