Position Vacant – Restaurant /Bar Manager

The Iron Horse Bar & Grill is an iconic Harley-Davidson themed Bar and Restaurant, part of the Richardson's Harley-Davidson complex located in Prospect Vale, just out of Launceston. Open Tuesday to Saturday each week.

We are currently seeking hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced Bar/Eatery Manager to join our Team and take the reins from our current Manager.

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Iron Horse Bar & Grill, ensuring consistency and a focus on guest service, as well as guest and team engagement.

The Restaurant Manager will use their passion and flair for exceptional customer service to lead, coach and motivate a dedicated front-line Team and ensure a memorable Iron Horse experience for all our guests.

The role will also involve:

• Leading and developing a successful and highly functioning team who are focused on customer service, guest engagement and experience as well as driving revenue to achieve sales targets

• Booking and managing weekly entertainment and events

• Rostering, labour control and maintaining optimum daily staffing levels within labour cost budgets, Training new Team Members

• Stock ordering, stock control, administration, managing goods and COGs

• Financial management and reporting, including cost controls within pre-determined budgets

• Identify and implement continual improvement initiatives

This role is suited to a driven, positive, outgoing and career minded individual who has a passion and enthusiasm for the hospitality and guest services industry.

To be considered, you will have extensive supervisory or management experience within a similar high-volume restaurant and customer service environment as well as demonstrated, hands on ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate team members at the front line. Additionally, excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and organisational skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Experience working with POS Database Systems, competent cash handling/management abilities and strong computer skills are also required.

Must be able to use social media fluently, attention to detail and cleanliness is a must.

You must have a current Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate. Flexibility with working hours is essential as weekend, and evening work is involved.

This a full-time salary position at approx. $70,000 with a profit sharing arrangement for a driven person
